Automatic detection of sharp edges on polygonal model -This involved design and the development of algorithms to detect sharp edges on a polygonal mesh. -The B-Spline curves are fitted along the detected edges. -Topological connectivity is generated to create loops. -This is a highly research oriented problem and involved implementation of complex geometry algorithms. -This has applications in automatic patch layout creation in Reverse Engineering. -The next slide shows output of our algorithm with a sample mesh input.
